Wave 1 | Prompt 6: A displaced people in your world

I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t think I’d be able to do this one. I haven’t really thought about the ethnicities of my world very much; it’s been more about dragonkin species, and even then, I don’t have many. So, when it was time to specifically create an ethnicity article about them being displaced, I thought I’d have a hard time. I eventually got to the 300 words though!

I decided to write about the people of Arkynshire, and use the recently created Draconian War for the “displaced” part of the prompt.

The inhabitants of the region known as Arkynshire are referred to as Arkynish, and as a result, their language is too.

During the tryanny of the Wyrm of Chaos and the Draconian War, many people were displaced from this area, fleeing up north to Drakemyst or to the west to Emberland. Even there they found it difficult to flee from the Wyrm of Chaos' influence, and some even fled as far as Ravia where they took refuge near the Shatterscale Mountains.

I hadn’t really thought much about the culture or anything of this ethnicity yet. However, I did write that their culinary traditions include a wide variety of dishes that prominently feature rice and share similarities with Asian cuisine.
